Paneer Butter Masala
Ingredients
- 250g Paneer (cottage cheese), cubed
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 large Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cream
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.
- Now add the pureed tomatoes, red chili powder, garam masala, and turmeric powder. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the oil separates.
- Add 1 cup of water and cook for another 2 minutes to make the gravy.
- Once the gravy is cooked, add the cubed paneer and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala.
- Add the cream and the remaining butter. Stir gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice!
